Sugar Cravings On A Very Hot Day | One-Pan Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie | Silent Vlog

This post is about the recipe on my Youtube video with the same title: Sugar Cravings On A Very Hot Day | One-Pan Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

This one is so so so easy to make and super fun to eat! (or should say "devour"?) It is perfect for sugar cravings! Making everything in one pan was really fun but if you don't have an ovenproof pan you can always use an oven dish instead. Just mix everything in a bowl and pour the batter into the oven dish.

The Cast Iron pan I used is Silver Cusinero Cast Iron Flat Pan 28 cm in Matte Black  I love my cast iron pans and pots. They are so useful and I'm getting slightly obsessed with one-pan recipes!

If you are making this using a cast-iron skillet, the most important thing you have to pay attention is to cool down the skillet after melting the butter and sugar. Because the next thing you have to do is adding the eggs and you wouldn't want to eat extremely sugary and buttery omelette! Cool the pan in the fridge for 10 minutes at least.

Other than that I used dark chocolate because I didn't want the cookie to be too sweet. I'm not a fan of milk chocolate. But if you are, use the chocolate you like. ^^

Ice cream on top, in my opinion, is a must-do thing! It goes so well with the hot chocolate flavour.

Ingredients

(For 4-6 people)

200gr butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanillin sugar (you can, of course, use vanilla extract)
100gr dark chocolate
1/2 cup crushed hazelnuts

Method

Preheat the oven to 160C with fan.

In a 28-30cm cast iron skillet, melt the butter and turn the heat low and add the sugar.

Let the sugar melt while stirring on low heat for about 1-2 minutes.

Take the skillet from the heat and put it in the fridge to cool down so the eggs won't turn into an omelette.

Whisk the eggs a little.

After you make sure the skillet is not hot enough add the eggs and stir until everything is well blended.

Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and vanillin sugar or vanilla extract.

Because I didn't want to damage the skillet, I used a wooden fork to sort of whisk everything to combine. It will look like it's not going to mix well but continue stirring it will become a cookie batter.

Smooth and spread the batter in the skillet evenly.

Place the chocolate pieces then sprinkle some hazelnuts on top.

Bake the huge cookie in 160C with fan for about 30 minutes.

As soon as you take the cookie out of the oven, put three scoops of icecream on top and devour it immediately with a cup of iced coffee!
